Imaging System Product Design

Fulwood Engineering completed a one year project to develop a housing for an imaging system for Faraday Scientific Ltd.

​

The project followed our design process, beginning with the development of a detailed specification for the equipment. 

​

There was a large optioneering exercise to determine the manufacturing route appropriate for the equipment, human factors and style definition.

​

Fulwood Engineering recommended the correct materials to use in the product and manufacturing routes based on user requirements and predictions of sales volumes.

​

Numerous prototypes were developed for physical testing.

​

The device integrated numerous electronic items such as a touchscreen panel, flashing LEDs, a trigger switch and seven custom PCBs.

​

The fully assembled first production build is now going through extensive testing to prepare for commercialisation.
