Magnetic Strainer

Fulwood Engineering have been supporting VEXO International (UK) Ltd to develop several new products including a magnetic strainer.

The project required the design of the castings and mesh filters, fully integrated into the VEXO magnetic filtration system.

​

Fulwood Engineering developed CAD models for nine different sizes of strainer with two different connection fittings; flanged and coupled.

​

Fulwood Engineering calculated the pressure drop across the strainers using CFD analysis. The results correlate well with data available from other strainer suppliers for similar size devices.

​

The project is now progressing into the first prototype and physical testing stage.
